Software Maintenance for ABAP for SAP HANA
Use
ABAP for SAP HANA applications denote all ABAP-based applications that have SAP HANA as a database. This includes applications, for example, Finance or SAP Hybris Marketing. From a software logistics point of view, ABAP for SAP HANA applications should be treated the same as pure ABAP applications. However, they are still different to SAP HANA standalone solutions that do not contain any ABAP parts.
Corrections, updates, and enhancements to ABAP for SAP HANA applications can contain both ABAP objects and SAP HANA repository objects. In this way, SAP HANA repository objects in the SAP HANA database are corrected, updated, or enhanced at the same time as ABAP objects.
When developing ABAP for SAP HANA applications, SAP HANA content as well as ABAP content is created, which can be transported with the Change and Transport System as usual. Activities
Importing Support Packages and Installing Add-Ons for ABAP for SAP HANA Applications
Use the standard procedure to import SAP Support Packages and SAP Add-Ons that, in addition to ABAP objects, also contain SAP HANA repository objects.
You can plan your maintenance activities using Maintenance Planner in SAP Solution Manager and implement packages with the familiar tools. Software Update Manager (SUM), Support Package Manager, and SAP Add-On Installation Tool are included here.

Implementing Note Corrections
SAP delivers small corrections to ABAP for SAP HANA applications or objects as automatic or manual corrections in an SAP Note. These can be implemented as usual with the Note Assistant. When the Note Assistant is used for the activation, the SAP HANA content is imported into the SAP HANA repository and activated there.
If an error occurs when activating HTA objects, first try to fix the error. Then you can restart the activation in the Note Assistant. Once the corrections has been activated, complete the implementation of the correction instructions.
