Deleted Items

Use

You can either permanently delete items in KM folders or move them to the Deleted Items iView. As long as you have not permanently deleted an item, you can display it in the Deleted Items iView and restore it, if necessary.

Features

If you choose the Delete command in the context menu for an item, the system displays a confirmation dialog box, in which you must confirm that you really want to delete the item. In this dialog box, you can choose whether you want to move the item to your Deleted Items iView:

If you do not select the Delete Permanently checkbox, the item is moved to the Deleted Items folder.
If you select the Delete Permanently checkbox, the item bypasses the Deleted Items iView and is irretrievably deleted.
If no checkbox of this type appears, the wastebasket service is not active for the repository and the item is also irretrievably deleted.

To display the items that you have deleted but can restore, choose Start of the navigation path Home Next navigation step Documents Related Links Deleted Items End of the navigation path . You can choose the following functions:

Pushbutton	Description
Restore	Moves the selected items back to the folder from which they were deleted.
Delete Permanently	Permanently deletes the selected items.
Empty Deleted Items	Permanently deletes all items in your wastebasket.
Refresh	Refreshes the list of deleted items.

In his or her wastebasket, each user sees only the items that he or she has personally deleted.
