Managing Page Versions
Use
Each time a wiki page is published, a new version of that page is created. There is therefore always a current published version and several archived versions.
Prerequisites
Each user having authorization to create wiki pages can edit versions of pages.
Procedure
Navigate to the page and in the Actions box, choose Manage versions.
You can perform the following activities when you manage versions:
-
You can compare two different versions of a wiki page. To do so, select both pages and choose Compare Checked. The differences between the two pages are highlighted (the new text is in green, and deleted text is in red).
-
You can restore versions that were already archived by choosing
. The archived version becomes the current version of the page. When a version is restored, it then creates a new version of the page and places the content of the restored version in the page. The versions superior to the restored versions are consequently kept. -
You can also delete versions by choosing
. When a version is deleted, it is removed from the list of the versions. -
You can view or edit the summary information about the changes that users have made in the wiki page by choosing
