Procedure

  1. In the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Accounting Next navigation step Bank Applications Next navigation step SEM Banking Next navigation step Data Pool Next navigation step Edit Financial Object End of the navigation path or Start of the navigation path Accounting Next navigation step Financial Supply Chain Management Next navigation step Treasury and Risk Management Next navigation step Market Risk Manager / Portfolio Analyzer / Credit Risk Analyzer / Accounting Analyzer Next navigation step Tools Next navigation step Financial Object End of the navigation path (transaction JBDO).

  2. Enter the company code for which the bank transaction was created.

  3. Select the contract type of the bank transaction and enter a key in the corresponding field that uniquely identifies the master data of the bank transaction. The key can be one of the following:

    • Account number for account transactions

    • Order number for security transactions

    • Financial transaction number for derivative, money market, and forex transactions

    • Position number for positions (such as securities positions, forex positions, and listed derivative positions)

    • Balance sheet item number for non-interest-bearing positions

    • Service number for services

    • Account number for a BCA account

    • Transaction number of a variable transaction

    • Transaction number of a generic transaction

    • Position number of a fictitious/simulated transaction position

    • External facility ID for a facility

    • ID of a security

    • External security ID for a security

    • ID number and securities account of a securities account class position

    • ID number and futures account of a class position in a futures account

    • ID number and futures account of a lot-based position in futures account

    • Lot-generating transaction number

    • Lot

    • ID number of an interest-independent financial statement item

    • Operating Exposure: Position ID of the exposure position

    • Operating Exposure: Raw exposure for the selected raw exposure ID, raw exposure position ID; commodity, and for a specific risk category (commodity price risk or currency risk)

  4. Choose Start of the navigation path Financial Object Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path.

    When you create a financial object, it is automatically assigned a financial object number.

  5. In the master data, under General Part (represented by the original key), enter the following data:

    • Enter the source system.

    • For securities transactions, forex transactions, and transactions with listed derivatives (single transactions only), choose Additional Data to enter the reference price required for calculating the trading terms contribution within the "Single Transaction Costing" component.

  6. Create a Profitability Analysis part, analysis parameters, and/or default risk and limit data for the financial object, depending on how you want to use it.

  7. Save your entries.

Note Note

When you create financial objects for loan transactions, cash flows are generated (commitment cash flow and possibly rollover cash flows). Cash flow generation is triggered when you save the financial object. Before saving, make sure that you have entered all the information for the loan transaction.
