Archiving Retail Promotions BFS Retail (LO-MD-PR)
Archiving object W_PROMO_AD
is used to archive promotions if the Retail business function set is activated.
You can use promotions to change the prices of certain goods (usually reduce) to achieve increased sales. Promotions always have a specific validity period; after the end of the promotion, the normal prices are automatically used again.
This archiving object allows you to save obsolete promotion data externally and delete it from your productive system to create memory space.
To archive a promotion, in the SAP Retail menu, choose and then .
To display promotion data that has already been archived, in the SAP Retail menu choose and then .
Archiving object W_PROMO_AD
contains all the data for a specific promotion. It contains the following segments:

: Assignment of assortment modules to site groups

In addition, the message control records, which were created for messages when promotions were launched, are archived.
The long text for a promotion (header and item data) is archived with the archiving class TEXT

W_PROMO_AD_ARCH_WRITE
: To select and write data to an archive file

: To delete data from the database (after writing data to an archive file)

: To display data in the archive
