Editing Subscriber Properties
Context
Syndicators and subscribers have to specify a range of properties that are used for making contact with and identifying sender and recipient of the transmitted content.
Syndicators and subscribers are identified by 32-character UUIDs (Universal Unique Identifiers). These UUIDs are generated and assigned when the content exchange service is started for the first time.
If an installation acts as both syndicator and subscriber, it can use the same UUID for both roles.
Procedure
-
In the iViews Content Exchange Subscriber choose Properties.
-
In the Description field, enter a descriptive name for the subscriber. This name is transmitted to the syndicator every time the subscriber sends a request.
-
Check the URL. This is the URL of the subscriber. It is used by the syndicator to transmit content to the syndicator using Push. This field is write-protected. Its value is specified in the configuration of the URL generator service in the subscriber system. For more information, see URL Generator Service .
