Creating a User for Push Actions

Use

In order to transfer content to subscribers using push, a syndicator must authenticate itself with the subscriber system using a user and password.

If a subscriber wants to use the push delivery method, a user must be created that the syndicator can use for authentication. The subscriber does this in the user management of the subscriber system. This user does not need to be entered in the access control lists (ACLs) of folders or documents.

The subscriber has to let the syndicator have all necessary contact information (user, password, and URL) in another manner, such as by telephone.

The syndicator enters this user in the properties of the subscriber on the tab for configuring push actions.
