Creating and Managing Subscriptions

Prerequisites

  • The syndicator must be registered on the subscriber system.

  • The target folder for the content to be received must exist.

Context

You create a subscription to an offer of a syndicator to receive the content specified in the offer.

You can change the name and the target path of existing subscriptions.

You terminate existing subscriptions by deleting them.

Procedure

  1. In the Subscriber Administration iView, choose Syndicators .
  2. Select the relevant syndicator, and choose Edit to display the syndicator's catalog data.
  3. Select an offer, and choose Add .

    A New Subscription dialog box is displayed for specifying the details of the subscription.

  4. Enter a subscription name and the target directory path for the subscribed content.
  5. Select one of the delivery rules associated with the offer, and choose OK .

Results

The subscription is established in your system and in the syndicator system.

It is included in the list of all subscriptions you have with that particular syndicator. You can view this list by selecting the Subscriptions tab page.

It is also included in the syndicator's list of subscriptions.
