Specify Segment Assignment

Use

Segment assignment enables you to specify the link between commission contracts and their segments.

Prerequisites

You need to process the following in Customizing first, under Commissions -> Basic/Master Data -> Segment Assignment ->

Maintain Segment Types

Maintain Segment Assignment Role

Then you can maintain segments on the Commission System screen, by choosing Master Data -> In-Force Business Assignment -> Segment Assignment -> Maintain Segments .

Note Note

If you want to use the segment assignment in the commission case, you need to define suitable additional trigger agreements. To maintain the cause category for the commission case trigger, choose the following in Customizing: Commissions -> Basic/Master Data ->Standard Commission Contract -> Agreement for Additional Commission Cases .

Procedure

  1. From the Commission System screen, choose Master Data -> In-Force Business Assignment -> Segment Assignment -> Segment Assignment -> Create/Change/Display.

  2. Choose the required selection criteria.

  3. Choose Execute Selection .

  4. The selection criteria are transferred as assignment agreements. You can process these as you require.

  5. Save the segment assignment.

You can use the BTE for Event CACS0101 to realize individual check routines.

Result

The segment has been assigned and is thus available for calculations in the commission case. The segment assignment in the commission system is a condensed representation (relevant to the commission system) of an external policy management system. You use the segment assignment to assign segments to commission contracts using assignment roles. Trigger agreements are used in the commission case to calculate commission for this.
