Triggering Method

Definition

Description of the change type for a business transaction, for example:

  • Creation of a new contract

  • Tariff change

  • Product change

  • Change to or reinstatement of a contract.

Use

Every triggering method must have a unique reference to a triggering object. The valid triggering methods must be made available to the commission system (in a table), just like the triggering object types.

As the maintenance of triggering methods (change reasons) in many policy management systems is so detailed that the derivation of the activity type can take place from the triggering method without any additional requirements ("creation of a new contract", "insurance policy substitute business", for example); direct derivation without requirements is possible in the commission system, as well as functional derivation (determination method). A commission activity characteristic is assigned to the triggering method for direct derivation. If the activity characteristic necessary for determining the activity type cannot be derived directly, a determination method can be specified. Alternatively, you can specify a combination ID for triggering determination for the commission system.

Structure

A triggering method includes the following data (key data is marked in bold ):

  • Triggering Object Type

  • Triggering method

  • Version: Method version

  • Commission activity characteristic

  • Determination method: Customer-specific determination

  • Combi ID : Combination ID for determination for the commission system

  • Description

Note Note

End of the note.

The commission activity characteristic , determination method , and combi ID attributes cannot be selected at the same time. They can only be selected singly.

The triggering methods relevant for commission are determined in implementation. You can control this as you require.
