Web Addresses

Use

To access documents on a remote http server via the simple Web repository, you must enter the URL of the server in the configuration of a Web address.

Integration

Every remote HTTP server whose URL you enter in the configuration of a simple Website can be accessed via the simple Web repository (see Simple Web Repository Manager ).

Features

In contrast to a Website, the configuration of a Web address only has a few parameters other than the name. This reduces the configuration effort, but also the range of features. If the remote HTTP server requires authentication, for example, you must create a HTTP system. You can only do this in the configuration of a Website.
