Hiding Field Names for Empty Elements

Context

You have placed field labels in front of output fields on a Show form or in a list. If an author has left an entry field blank, you want to hide not only the output field, but also the field label.

Procedure

In the context menu for the field label, choose Link Visibility .

The mouse pointer takes on the shape of a hand.
Click the output field .

Note

You can remove the link involving label visibility using the context menu.
Use the empty property of the label control to specify whether or not you want the system to display a blank space in the place of the label control.
