News Authoring

Use

With this iView, you can create and manage news items that are published in the Enterprise Portal.

Integration

The items that you create in the News Authoring iView are stored in the Start of the navigation pathdocuments Next navigation step NewsEnd of the navigation path folder.

These items are displayed for portal users in the News iView (under the menu path Start of the navigation pathHome Next navigation step My Info  Next navigation step  Overview  Next navigation step NewsEnd of the navigation path).

Procedure

You create news items using a form. You do not need to define the formatting and layout of the news items.

You can enter the following elements using the standard form for news items:

  • Title

  • Date

  • Author

  • Image

    You can specify the URL of an image that you want to appear with a news item.

  • Link to further information

    You can specify the URL of a page that contains further information about the topic of the news item. The reader goes directly to this page by choosing Read More .

  • Description

  • News text

Editing and managing items

The following functions can be used for each item:

Display the Details dialog box for an object

Delete item.

Send to

Sends object to another user

If your system is configured appropriately, you can also use other functions.
