Configuring the Archiving User Interface Commands
Use
To be able to mark KMC archiving objects for archiving, as well as to approve, reject, allow or forbid archiving for a certain resource, you need to configure the following user interface (UI) commands:

Archiving
-
Approve
-
Reject
-
Allow Archiving
-
Do Not Archive
Prerequisites
You have activated and configured the archiving global service. For more information, see Archiving Global Service .
You have the System Admin portal role assigned to your user.
Procedure
Configuring the Archiving Command
The Archiving UI command is responsible for executing archiving operations such as Mark for Archiving , Unmark , Cancel Approval , Force Approval .
In the standard delivery, the Archiving UI command is not configured by default. To make the command available in the Settings menu of the Details dialog box, proceed as follows:

In the portal, navigate to .

Filter for the DetailsSettingsSecondGroup command group, and open the configuration object for editing.

In the Command List parameter field, enter archiving .
To separate the entry from the rest of the command aliases listed in the Command List parameter field, use commas.

Save your entries.
Configuring the Approve, Reject, Allow Archiving and Do Not Archive Commands
To make the Approve , Reject , Allow Archiving and Do Not Archive UI commands available in the context menu of a resource, you need to add the ForbiddenAllowArchivingGropup command group to the AdminResourceCommandGroup command group. To do so, proceed as follows:

In the portal, navigate to .

Filter for the AdminResourceCommandGroup command group, and open the configuration object for editing.

In the Command List parameter field, enter ForbiddenAllowArchivingGroup .
To separate the entry from the rest of the command aliases listed in the Command List parameter field, use commas.

Save your entries.
Optional: Configuring the Archiving Status Property
If you want to make the Archiving Status property available in the left-hand screen area of the Details dialog box, proceed as follows:

In the portal, navigate to , and open the default configuration object for editing.

In the Details Properties parameter, select archiving_status from the Not Selected property list, and then choose Add .

Save your entries.
Optional: Specifying the Portal Roles for Which the Archiving Command Should be Valid
In the standard delivery, the Archiving UI command is only valid for the Content Admin and Super Admin portal roles. If you want to modify the default configuration, and make the Archiving UI command visible for users assigned to other portal roles, proceed as follows:

In the portal, navigate to .

Filter for the archiving command, and open the configuration object for editing.

In the Roles with Visibility parameter input field, specify the roles for which you want to make the Archiving UI command valid.
The role specifications must be formulated as follows: <Location>/<Role_ID>

Save your entries.
Result
Once you have completed the configuration, you can find the Archiving UI command in the Settings menu of the Details dialog box. The Archiving UI command is available for all the users assigned to the portal roles for which you have made the command valid. If configured, the Archiving Status property is displayed in the left-hand screen area of the Details dialog box. In addition, depending on the archiving status of the archiving object, the system displays the Approve , Reject , Allow and Do Not Archive commands in the context menu of the resource.
