The following information is relevant for the definition of ILM policies for PA_LDOC.

ILM Object

You create policies and rules for PA_LDOC for the related ILM object PA_LDOC using the Retention Management functions (transaction IRMPOL) of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).

Object Category and Policy Category

You define policies in the SAP Business Suite object category (OT_FOR_BS) with the Retention Rules policy category (RTP).

Condition Fields and Time References

To define retention rules, you can use the following condition fields and time bases (start time for determining the retention period).

You can use the condition field MOLGA to define country-specific retention rules for long-term documents.

Example Example

All long-term documents for HR data (table PCL4, cluster LA) that have not been changed in the last five years (since the last time the data record was changed (LAST_CHANGE_DATE)) are to be destroyed for all employees in the country grouping DE for Germany. The corresponding retention rule in the application ILM Policies and Rules is as follows:
