Background documentationVariant Settings for Reloading (PA-PA)

In the variant for the reload program RPAR3R00, you can specify the criteria for reloading.

Since you can use the report RPUAUD00 to display archived data, you need only reload archived data in exceptional circumstances.

However, if you need to reload data from an archive file, reload a complete archiving session where possible. If this is not possible, for organizational reasons or because there is not enough space in the database, you can also reload individual archiving objects only. An archiving object comprises all documents for a personnel or applicant number in a particular period. Therefore, objects are selected by selecting a set of personnel numbers or applicant numbers.

Note Note

A partial reload of this type means that it takes considerably longer to access data to read in the archive.

End of the note.

Features

The following options are available on the selection screen of the reload program:

Input Fields

  • Personnel Number

If you want to reload only part of the data to the database, you can select individual or multiple personnel numbers. You can differentiate by applicant numbers and personnel numbers (see also Checkboxes).

Checkboxes

  • Reload Archiving Session Completely

Reload complete archiving sessions where possible.

  • Documents for Employee Data

If you select this checkbox, the system reads all documents for employee data.

  • Documents for Applicant Data

If you select this checkbox, the system reads all documents for applicant data.

  • Test Run

If you select the Test Run field, you start the reload program in a test run. No data is inserted into the database.

  • Detailed Log

You can use the Detailed Log option to create a detailed list of the processed documents. Since an extremely detailed log is created, use this option only if errors have occurred that you want to localize.

The system writes the data that was not reloaded to a new archive. You can then no longer read the old archive or reload it again. Thus, the system ensures that the data is consistent.

You need to archive the reloaded data again if you do not want to keep it in the database.
