If you run the write program RP_PA_TASK_WRI of the archiving object HR: Tasks (HRPA_TASK), you need to enter an existing variant or create a new variant. You need a variant for each data destruction run, even in test mode. The variant contains the selection criteria for the tasks that you want to destroy.

Procedure

  1. Start Archive Administration (transaction SARA).

  2. Enter the archiving object HRPA_TASK and choose Write.

  3. Enter a name for the variant and choose Maintain. The Variants: Screen Assignment dialog box appears.

  4. Define whether the variant is to apply to all selection screens of the program or to individual selection screens. Choose Continue.

  5. Enter the values for the selection parameters and choose Attributes. The ABAP: Save Variant Attributes dialog box is opened.

  6. Define the attributes and save the variant.
