Archiving Account Data for Pension Fund (PA-PF-XX)

Definition

Archiving object PA_PFUND for archiving posting data in PF account data.

Use

You can only archive pension funds or delete them from the database if they originate from a locked posting period.

The following actions are available for archiving objects:

  • Write

    This action calls the Archiving PF Posting Documents (RPARPFIWF) program.

  • Delete

    In the standard SAP System, the delete program is automatically called after archiving. This is dependent on the default setting. You are recommended not to change this setting.

  • Read

  • Management

Structure

Archiving object PA_PFUND archives all posting data from the individual accounts of insured persons.

Table PF Posting Documents (T5CPB) is archived. Until you execute the Delete action, this table remains in the database.

On the selection screen in the Archiving PF Posting Documents ( RPARPFIWF) program, you can choose which posting documents are to be archived.

  • Select Value Type Attributes for Archiving: Only posting documents with this value type attribute are archived.

  • Exclude Value Type Attributes from Archiving: Posting documents with this value type attribute are not archived.

The default setting in the standard SAP System defines that all posting documents be archived. You should only restrict archiving using value type attributes in exceptional cases because inconsistencies can arise if only part of a posting document is deleted when posting documents from previously archived periods are included in the calculation.
