Monitoring Database Usage Statistics

Use

  • You can monitor the Database size consumed by BW Objects on various levels like InfoAreas, Application Components, Object Types, Table Types.

Procedure

  1. In the Detailed Navigation pane, under BI Database Usage Statistics, choose
  2. BI Data Distribution: Hierarchies
  3. Check the following iViews for InfoArea and Application Component.
  4. BI Data Distribution: Infoarea
  5. Information Description

    Infoarea

    Technical name of the infoarea

    Table Size(MB)

    Total Database size consumed by InfoArea

Type of the BW Table Type.

DB Size(MB)

Database Size consumed by BW Table Type in Mega Bytes

%Share

Percentage of the database size occupied by individual Table type compared to the total DB size.

Number of Tables

Number of tables used.

Average DB Size(MB)

Average Database Size in Mega Bytes
