Assigning Objects to Object Owners
The task of the object owner is to assign the new profit centers to the objects (such as materials). In order that the objects for which the object owner is responsible appear in his or her worklist, the reorganization manager needs to assign those objects to the object owner.
The system proposes as object owner the user specified as the User Responsible
in the master data of the profit center.
For the reorganization plan, you can change the object owner:
You can change the object owner manually
Individually per object or
Simultaneously for multiple objects (select the objects and then change the object owner)
You can use the BAdI Enhancement of Object List Generation
(FAGL_R_GENERATE
) to change the logic for deriving the object owner (in Customizing for the Reorganization
under ).
For example, you can use this BAdI to specify that, instead of the profit center owner, the project leader is used for WBS elements.
The object owners only need to specify the new profit center for objects on the first level of the derivation hierarchy (such as materials, sales order items, cost centers, or WBS elements). For objects on lower levels, an object owner does not need to do anything because a lower-level object (such as an unassigned purchase order item) acquires the same new profit center as its higher-level object (such as the material ordered).
You have generated the corresponding object list.
As the reorganization manager, you proceed as follows to assign the objects of the object list to the object owners:
On the Object Lists
tab page, you select the line for the desired object type (such as material) in the Generate
area. Choose the Open
pushbutton.
The Generation of Object List: <Object Type>
dialog box appears.
To restrict the objects of the object type further, you can enter selection criteria.
(You can influence which selection criteria are available for selection; you do this in Customizing for the Reorganization
under as well as under Specify Display Characteristics for Each Object Type
.
In both of these IMG activities, the Selection Field
column is relevant. With the "Sequence Number" field, you can influence the order in which the selection fields are arranged.)
Choose the Continue
pushbutton.
The system outputs a list of the objects with this object type.
If necessary, you can change the object owner manually for specific objects.
To change the object owner for multiple objects, select those objects and choose the Change Owner
pushbutton.
In order that the objects appear in the worklist of the relevant object owner, you need to set the status of the objects to Allocated to Object Owner
.
Here, you can also change the status for multiple objects simultaneously.
Save you entries and close the object list.
