Export (IDoc)

The export of a message for the change of supplier includes the following steps:

  1. Create message in the change of supplier workflow

The change of supplier workflow determines the sending of messages. A switch document message is created and sent. Whether the message is sent as a result of a data exchange process being executed is irrelevant.

An agent can also create a switch document message manually. That is, the agent enters the message data in a dialog.

  2. Switch document message

The message that was generated for the switch document can be sent in a number of ways. If it is sent by means of data exchange processes, the relevant data exchange process is executed. The communication type is determined by the switch document.

  3. Execute data exchange process

The IDoc is sent following the execution of the corresponding data exchange process. The following data exchange basic processes exist for the purpose of defining data exchange processes for sending change of supplier-related messages:

    1. EXPREQSWT

You use this data exchange basic process to define data exchange processes for sending requests for the change of supplier (for example, from the distributor’s view, the enrollment notification from the new supplier regarding the supply of energy to a point of delivery, or the switch notification from the former supplier regarding the supply of energy to a point of delivery).

    2. EXPRESSWT

You use this data exchange basic process to define data exchange processes for sending responses to previous requests for the change of supplier (for example, from the new supplier’s view, the distributor’s response to the enrollment notification, or, from the former supplier’s view, the distributor’s response to the switch notification).

Based on the data exchange processes, define data exchange definitions for the service providers involved in the change of supplier process. In the data exchange definitions, it is particularly important that you define the data exchange format to use to send the message. As a result, an IDoc is generated in the requested format.

The data exchange process logs the sent message in the form of a data exchange task.

  4. Send message as IDoc

IDocs (intermediate documents) are used as an interface for sending messages. An outgoing message for the change of supplier leaves the system as an IDoc.
