A service provider agreement (SPA) is an agreement between two participating service providers regarding the processes necessary to supply a point of delivery.

Structure

A service provider agreement is defined for the processing service provider from the market partner’s perspective.

The processing service provider is always a service provider in your own system . However, you can also define both service providers – both the processing service provider and the market partner – as service providers in your own system

The service provider agreement is assigned process parameters.

The service types for the two service providers in combination with the process to be controlled define the service provider agreement types . You define these in Customizing for SAP Utilities , under Intercompany Data Exchange → Service Provider Agreements → Define Service Provider Agreement Types

The service provider agreement type GRIDUSAGE comprises the following elements:

Process for control (Registration and Termination for Grid Usage)

Service type of market partner (Supply)

Service type of processing service provider (Distribution)

SPA type text: Supplier Outline Contract (Grid Usage)

Before a service provider agreement is saved, the system runs a context check according to the two service providers market partner and processing service provider
