Error and Status Processing

Use

In IDoc Administration, you can assign a procedure to a workflow task error or status code.

With the Error and Status Processing function, you can check the assignment of the error procedure codes to the standard tasks, if you have used EDI communication in an earlier version.

You must also maintain this assignment for your user developments.

Activities

1. From the SAP menu, choose Tools  IDoc Interface/ALE  Administration  Runtime Settings  Error and Status Processing (transaction WE46).

2. Execute the function. The table must contain the ALE error handling entries listed below:

   The table contains the assignment of the error procedure codes (e.g. EDII) for standard tasks (e.g. TS00008068). The procedure type is 2 (work item).

More Information

If You used EDI in an earlier version, standard tasks of the old versions are still assigned here for the procedure codes EDII and EDIO. If the new tasks are not entered here, there may be ALE Processing problems.
