Step 1: Statements

Use

The first step in creating a query is to create a statement. The statement contains all the selection criteria for the query. Initially, the default statement is highlighted by a red boundary line. This indicates that the statement is incomplete. The boundary line disappears once the statement is completed.

Creating a Statement

  1. Click Select Objects on the Scene panel or press F3 on your keyboard, and navigate to the Query tab page

  2. Choose the New Query icon, or if you are opening an existing query, choose the Open Query File icon, and select the query to open.

  3. Select your initial scene setup, and enter the details for the first statement if required.

  4. If you wish to add an additional statement, choose Add Statement and make selections as required.

Renaming a Statement

Double-click the statement name, and enter a new name for the statement. When you are finished, click outside the statement text box to save the new name.
