Manual Explode Settings
Use
The Manual Explode settings are available when you start an explosion from the Manual Explode toolbar.
Using the Manual Explode settings in the Tool Assistant, you can modify the settings for all types of manual explosions.
The available options for Manual Explode include, but are not limited to, the type of explosion, the order in which the parts are exploded, whether animation sequences are created, and whether each exploded part has an attached thrustline.

Explode |
Lists all current available settings for manual explosions

Explosion Position |
Sets the position, and type of explosion. The explosion position settings are available when an explosion is first started. These settings can be selected only once for an explosion.

Explosion Order |
Sets the order in which the objects explode, and the explosion anchor
|
|
Automatic Grouping |
Groups parts together in the explosion so that they do not explode away from each other. The grouped parts are treated as a single part in the explosion.

Animation |
Sets the animation options for manual explosions. On/Off indicates whether animation sequences are created in the explosion
|

Thrustlines |
Sets the thrustline options for manual explosions. On/Off indicates whether thrustlines are created in the explosion. By default, thrustlines are not enabled. A thrustline is created from the anchor to the leading part only. |
: Begins a new explosion. The scene selection is automatically added to the explosion order list, and an anchor is selected. If no scene selection is made, the existing anchor and explosion list are maintained. Selecting
: Ends the current sequence, and creates animations and a step
: Ends the current sequence, and resets the part positions. Key frame animations are not recorded if you cancel.
: Resets the magnitude back to 0, and deselects the explosions handles. This allows you to select again without cancelling or starting a new explosion.
: The selected objects move along a single explosion axis away from a set point, (the anchor)
: The selected objects move in an outward direction from a specified explosion axis. For example, if the explosion axis is Z, objects are moved within the XY plane away from the Z axis.
: Displays the selected anchor. This is a single node that will not move, and from which all other parts explode away . The anchor can be any node that is selectable in the scene. This field is always populated if a sequence has started, and one or more parts are selected in the 3D scene. The anchor is automatically set, but can be changed.
: Adds a selected object to the list
