Metadata Tab Page

Metadata allows you to associate information with individual objects or to the complete scene. You can then display the data through a PDF document, when that part has been selected. An example of metadata that might be added to a part could be Part Name, Description, or Unit Price.

Metadata is exposed on a per-scene and per node basis, and can be viewed, created and edited using icons in the Properties windows. To add metadata you must first add a new or existing category.

The commonly used categories are:

• File Attributes

• CAD_Attributes

• JT File Metadata.

• CADMetadata

• PMIMetadata

The metadata will automatically be exported to PDF when you save it.
