Separating Meshes

Use

Using this tool, you can group an object that is grouped under one object but made up of a number of separate meshes, as separate meshes under the objects name.

When created, the subobjects are labeled objectname_mesh_n, where n is a number with three digits of leading zero padding.

Activities

Separating Meshes

  1. Open a 3D file and select the object for which you want to separate meshes.

  2. Choose Separate Meshes on the CADTools toolbar.

The object’s meshes are separated.
