Tools Right-Click Menu

Use

You can use this menu to perform a number of functions including moving the pivot point and removing duplicate materials. Certain options are only available depending on the current file type, and whether or not objects are selected. For example, if you right-click in the viewport with an object selected, the pivot point commands are available. Many of these commands are also available from the 3D Actions menu, accessed via the menu bar (see 3D Actions Menu).

Collapsing a Hierarchy

The Collapse window provides options for dealing with hidden nodes in the Scene tree when collapsing the hierarchy. You've two options – the hidden nodes can either be included in the collapsed mesh, or removed altogether.

To collapse a hierarchy, proceed as follows:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Select the objects that you wish to collapse within their containing folder in the 3D Objects list.

    • Select the folder in the 3D Objects list for which you want to collapse its objects.

  2. Right-click over one of the selected objects and select Start of the navigation pathTools Next navigation step Collapse HierarchyEnd of the navigation path.

  3. In the Collapse window, make your selections for the hidden nodes, and click OK.
