Markups
Use
SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author can be used to create and edit various types of markups which can be used to direct attention to, and identify parts of a model. In this section we discuss drawing, text and note markups, and the various methods of creating them.
Markups can be moved, rotated, and scaled using the 3D Editor toolbar, and they can also be edited individually.
Available markup types include:
-
Callouts: These are created using the Callouts panel, and comprise a text circle with an assigned part number and a line pointing to the part.
-
Dimensions: These are created using the Measurement tools. They comprise white and red lines denoting where the measurement was made with text denoting the actual dimension.
-
PMI markups: These are created using the PMI tools. They comprise a text item with an assigned part number and a line pointing to the part.
-
Text markups: These are created using the Text and Note tools. They comprise either a text item with an assigned part number and a line pointing to the part, or a 2D text item.
-
Images: These are created using the Image note tool on the Text and Note toolbar, and appear as a drawing in the Scene tree.
