Solid Tools

Use

You can use the Solid Tools functionality when you load a CAD file or assembly that contains solids.

Tessellation can be used to modify the arrangement and density of models' polygons. In doing so, a finer mesh is created for models as the curvature gets tighter.

When you select an object, the tessellation can be adjusted dynamically, and the scene will be updated with the new tessellation level. The Tool Assistant for Solid Tools contains the same preset levels that are available as import options, and each setting can be adjusted individually.

Activities

Modifying the settings for solids

1. Open a CAD file or assembly that contains solids.

2. Using the Tool Assistant, choose Solid Tools.

3. Establish your settings in the Tool Assistant.
