Locking and Editing Originals

Context

You must request an exclusive lock in order to edit the original in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author.

Checking out a document will also change its status to IW (In Work), according to the current DType configuration (DType.xml).

Procedure

  1. Choose Request an Exclusive Lock in order to edit the Original on the ECTR toolbar to move the original to SAP global edit mode.
  2. Edit the original as required.
