Step 4: Running a Query

Use

Once you have added and checked your query statements, the next step is to run the query.

Activities

Running a Newly Created Query

  1. Create a query, make your statement selections as required, and perform one of the following:

    • Click the Auto Hide icon in to keep the query window visible when the query runs. This allows the checking of each statement’s results.

    • Leave the Auto Hide icon out to make the query window disappear when the query runs. This allows slightly faster execution.

  2. Choose Run Query.

    In the top right-hand corner of the statement, information is provided about the number of objects selected from the total number of objects present, and the number of actions performed.

Running an Existing Query

  1. Choose Run Query from File.

  2. Search for and select the required query file.

  3. Choose Open.
