Pan Tool

Use

You use this tool to pan images and scenes in the 3D viewport, the camera is rotated around a vertical axis. You can also use the arrow keys to view scenes from different angles (move the camera laterally or vertically).

Activities

Selecting the Pan Tool

Do one of the following:

  • In the Navigation toolbar, choose Pan, and drag image or model in viewport

  • On the keyboard, press P and drag the model in viewport

  • On the keyboard, click left or right arrow

  • Left+right click or middle-click and drag in viewport

Viewing Images or Scenes

Select the 2D or 3D viewport and do one of the following:

  • Click Pan in the Navigation toolbar and drag the image or scene around the viewport

  • Press P on the keyboard and drag the image or scene around the viewport

  • Hold down the left or right arrow

Viewing a Scene from a Different Angle

Select the 3D viewport and left+right click or middle-click and drag the image or scene around the viewport.
