Metadata Callout Window

Use

Being able to call out multiple values simultaneously allows you to display vital information about the part. For example, you may wish to show the Partnumber, MaterialID and Material type at the same time.

You can use the Metadata Callout window to determine the general appearance of callouts that contain metadata. In this window, you can choose the types of metadata to display, and determine the way in which they are separated in the callout.

Features

The Metadata Callout window offers the following features:

Elements	Functional Description
Available Metadata	A dropdown to select a metadata category and a list of available metadata keys associated with that category. Metadata is displayed in alphabetical order. Note The scene must contain global metadata that is associated with all parts.
Separator	Defines the type of separator for metadata in the callout. When a separator is added, it is added above the item selected in the column for display. Add Separator: Adds the separator to the list of metadata for display. New Line: Each metadata item appears in the callout on a new line Pipe '\|': Metadata items display in the callout separated by pipes Slash '/': Metadata items display in the callout separated by forward slashes Space ' ': Metadata items display in the callout separated by spaces
Add	Adds the selected metadata to the Selected Metadata for Display field
Remove	Removes the selected metadata from the Selected Metadata for Display field
Selected Metadata for Display	Defines the metadata displayed in each callout, and the way in which is presented. This column is not sorted, and new items are added to the bottom of the list. Reorder Up: Moves the selected item up by one position in the list Reorder Down: Moves the selected item down by one position in the list
Remove All	Removes all selected metadata
