Use

You can embed 2D and 3D content into PowerPoint spreadsheets, and Word documents, using the files themselves or using links that reference the files.

Links are dynamic, in that they are linked to the most recent version of the item. So if you embed a link into an Office document, and the related file is modified, you can upload the most recent version of the file to SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author and the document link is automatically updated.

Activities

Inserting a File into a Document

Open a new or existing Word or PowerPoint document.
Drag the file from the File list tabs into the external document.
If you are inserting a file for the first time, choose OK in the Default Rendering Mode window to select the automatically detected graphics mode as the default.

Note

You can modify the default graphics mode at a later date if required.
Save the document in the usual way for the Office application you are using.
