PMI Settings

Use

Using the PMI Settings in the Tool Assistant, you can modify the settings for PMI markups. The settings are saved to your computer registry for future use. Any changes you make to the settings are applied to all PMI markups that are later viewed.

The PMI settings specify how the PMI markup data is displayed in the scene.

Billboard Mode

Establishes settings for Billboard Mode

  • None: Draws the dimension as defined in the CAD file

  • Full: Draws the dimension as a billboard. That is, the dimension always rotates to face the camera. When printed to a vector-based file, the measurement is converted to vector line art.

  • Flip Label: Aligns the dimension in the direction of the leaderline

  • Mixed Billboarding: Indicates that the file contains PMI with a mixed status of “None”, “Full”, and “Flip Label”. Mixed billboarding occurs when you merge multiple files with different billboard modes.
