Actions Menu

Use

The Actions menu is used to perform many functions, including the following:

  • Clearing the history list

  • Running queries

  • Updating thumbnail images

  • Accessing a number of further tools from the 2D and 3D Action menus

2D Actions

Controls a number of image settings including modifying the image size and rotating the image

3D Actions

Controls a number of scene elements including removing duplicate materials and meshes

Run Query

Runs an existing query

Set Pre Query

Sets a prequery to run before a query. The prequery acts when a file is loaded. That query can suppress or resume, build layers, hide, and change view. This option can be useful to speed up things, especially when the first drawn frame is right on target for its intended use.

Generate Thumbnails

Opens the Generate Thumbnails window and is used to create or update thumbnails in the thumbnails cache, for all files in the current folder.

Update Thumbnail

Updates the thumbnail for the current model with any new settings you've applied. For example, render and viewport settings.

Clear History

Deletes your history list of most recently browsed files

3Dx Input Device Settings

Allows you to control the camera using the 6DOF controller, only if you've the 3dConnexion space mouse.
