Panels in Standard Layout

Use

The scene panels display an assortment of information relating to the current scene. They can be resized, moved, floated, docked, and closed similar to the functionality in most Windows applications. They also include various context-sensitive right-click menus that relate to the area you are using.

Features

Panels are divided into three groups as follows:

Scene Panels

Display information relating to the current scene. The following panels belong to this group:

Panel

Functional Description

Information

Displays various scene, file, object, and material information relating to the current scene

Scene

Controls file components from within a tree-view hierarchy

Materials

Displays a thumbnail list of all materials associated with the current 3D file

Animations

Displays a list of all the components that are associated with any animation in the current 3D file

Layers

Used to create new layers and modify how the layers are displayed

Callouts

Controls all callouts that are associated with the current 3D file

Parts

Controls all objects that are associated with the current 3D file

File Lists

Display the My 3D Models, Materials, Textures, Symbols, and Backplate lists. The following panels belong to this group:

My 3D Models

Displays the contents of the My 3D Models folder

Symbols

Displays a list of available symbols.

Environment Maps

Displays a list of available environment maps

Displays a list of available backplates

Custom Panels

Tools that give you added functionality for managing and modifying files. The following panels belong to this group:

Address Bar

Provides easy access to folders and drives for navigation

Animation Controls

Controls scene animation

Animation Timeline

Creates and modifies keyframe animation on models

Components

A list of entities that provides access and edit functionality for materials or metadata

Display Settings

Selects and saves display settings within a theme, or selects an existing theme to apply to the display

Level of Detail Controls

Used to view models at any available LOD

Metadata

Edits metadata in individual objects or the complete scene

Model Views and Portfolios

Displays and hides the Model Views and Portfolios panel

SAP DMS

Allows easy to use DMS navigation, search and access to Visual Enterprise visuals

Steps and Procedures

Displays and hides the Steps and Procedures panel

Tool Assistant

Displays settings for various tools
