Thumbnails Tab Page

Use

You can use this tab page to specify how your 3D and 2D files display as thumbnails. You can choose the thumbnail size and background, the thumbnail cache size and in what way you want to generate thumbnails. Further color and hide settings are available by choosing the More Options button.

Fields and Checkboxes	Functional Description
Thumbnail Size	Use the option buttons, sliders or the number fields to set the size of the thumbnail images in pixels
Thumbnail Cache	Sets the size of the thumbnails cache Maximum Disk Memory: Use the slider to determine the cache size.
Thumbnails Generation	Determines when thumbnails are generated Manual: Thumbnails are generated when, and as you require, using the Generate Thumbnails window. On File Open: Generates thumbnails when the files are opened Automatic: Generates thumbnails automatically whenever files are modified
More Options	Opens the Additional Thumbnails Properties window to select color and element display settings

Fields and Checkboxes	Functional Description
Background	Used to set the background color of thumbnails
Hide All Special Elements	Hides all special elements from display in the generated thumbnails. For example, the grid, axis, active object frame, and bounding box.
High Quality Rendering	Renders thumbnails at a higher image quality. Note Using this option, while producing higher quality thumbnails, reduces processing speed.

Activities

Setting the Size of the Thumbnail Images

Do one of the following:

Choose an option button, for example, 64 x 64 or 120 x 80. The size is displayed in the preview window and the number fields display the number of pixels.
Drag the vertical and horizontal sliders. The size is displayed in the preview window and the number fields display the number of pixels.
Enter the number of pixels in the number fields. The size is displayed in the preview window.
