Redemption Schedule Set

Definition

A redemption schedule set (RS set) contains a group of redemption schedules for a particular class. In conjunction with the ID number, the redemption schedule set identifies a specific set of redemption schedules.

Use

Redemption schedule sets are required to represent drawable bonds in the system.

Structure

  • Repayment schedule sets are uniquely identified by their key and the ID number of the class.

  • They consist of header data and the assigned redemption schedules .

Key header data of a redemption schedule set:

    • Date of first redemption

    • Date of last redemption

    • Redemption frequency

    • Details for calculating the publication date on the basis of the redemption dates. (The publication date is the date on which the issuer announces the results of the draw, in other words, which partial bond positions are to be redeemed and the redemption amounts.)

Integration

You have to define names for the redemption schedule sets in Customizing for the securities area, where you can also create classes for the redemption schedule sets.

Customizing for Drawable Bonds

You assign the redemption schedule sets to the individual drawable bonds in the class data on the Conditions tab. You enter the header data when you create a redemption schedule set for a particular class.

You can assign various redemption schedule sets to a class. If you assign only one RS set to a class, this automatically becomes the active RS set. If more than one redemption schedule set exists, you can choose which of them is to be the active set.

The cash flow for the class shows the planned records for the redemption flows. These are taken from the data for the active redemption schedule in the active redemption schedule set.

Once you have created the header data for a redemption schedule set, you can enter one or more redemption schedules.
