Selecting Characteristics and Storing Characteristic Values Choose
A dialog box appears showing an overview of the currently selected characteristics.
If you have not yet selected any characteristics, this overview is empty.
Choose or the Choose Characteristicbutton.
The Select Characteristics dialog box is then displayed.
The selected characteristics are listed on the left-hand side of the screen.

To store values for a characteristic, position the cursor over the relevant characteristic and choose
A dialog box appears in which you can specify characteristic values.
To copy the characteristic values, choose the
Copy
function.
The characteristics that have been given values are marked.
Note that if, for example, the value “Southern purchasing organization” has been stored, then only the southern purchasing organization will be checked for exception situations. If, however, plant 0001 is specified, then all purchasing organizations belonging to plant 0001 will be checked.

By using the customer exit EXIT_SAPMMCY1_001 (enhancement MCYA0001), you can store characteristic values for characteristics that can then be imported. The
Fill
function then appears in the dialog box. When you execute this function, the stored characteristic values for the characteristics are copied to the dialog box. Entries that have already been made for the characteristic values are overwritten in this case.
You can copy characteristics and characteristic values from an already existing exception. The prerequisite is that both of the exceptions refer to the same information structure.
Proceed as follows:
Choose
A dialog box appears in which you can specify a reference exception.
In the
Exception
field, enter the exception whose characteristic values you want to copy and choose
Enter
.
The reference exception’s characteristics and characteristic values are copied to the characteristic maintenance screen.
