Cluster Manager

Use

The AS Java Cluster Manager is responsible for handling the elements in the cluster.

This monitoring group contains one active monitoring group - SessionContext Communication/General(Session Context) , which, on its turn, contains the following important monitor that is activated by default:

Average Session Process Time	Average time in microseconds (us) that a message spends in the message queue of the message server communication layer. This is the time between the call of the send method and the actual writing of the message in the socket. This metric is on both per-application and for the whole web container basis and represents averaged value for the request processing time for given time interval.

Features

The metric is used to monitor performance and retrieve alerts for degradation. The user is allowed to set his own performance criteria.

In case of performance degradation, the administrator can look at the access log to find further information about the requests and their sizes or trace the request with a tracing tool.
