Log Configuration with Config Tool

Use

You can perform various log configuration activities offline (that is, when AS Java is not started).

Open the graphical Config Tool. More information: GUI Config Tool

Adding, editing, creating and removing log controllers, destinations and formatters

Caution

These activities have to be done with extreme care and only by users who are familiar in detail with the SAP Logging API. More information: SAP Logging API
Switching on/off the writing of trace messages to one file, or exclude certain locations from being written to one trace file. You can do these tasks via the Log Manager 's properties ForceSingleTraceFile and SingleTraceFile_UnrestrictedLocations , correspondingly.

Resetting the entire log configuration to the default one. To do this, choose File Reset Log Configuration.
