Concur Invoice Standard Edition End User Help

Act as a Proxy for a Purchase Request User

You can be assigned a role that allows you to act on behalf of users assigned the Purchase Request User role. This feature is identical to its implementation in Concur Invoice, and is designed specifically to work within Purchase Request, without changing the Purchase Request User role and access rights when you exit purchase request and begin working within Concur Invoice.

How It Works

The proxy feature works when the Invoice Admin role is assigned to the user who will act as a proxy for users with the Purchase Request User role.

With this relationship in place, you will see a list of users in the Administer for another user list in the Profile menu, and will have the ability to select and act as a proxy for any user with the Purchase Request User role.

To act as a user with the Purchase Request User role:

  1. Click Profile and then select the name of the user with the Purchase Request User role from the menu in the Acting as other user field
  2. Click Start Session.

While you are acting as a proxy for the Purchase Request User, you will see the Purchase Request User's name below the SAP Concur logo on the left side of the page. In addition, a message that indicates you are acting as the selected user replaces the Profile menu heading.

Purchase Request Proxy Role Behaviour is Limited to Purchase Request

SAP Concur has designed this functionality so that it applies only to the Purchase Request feature. As a result, when - acting as a proxy for a Purchase Request User - you leave the Requests menu, you are no longer acting as a proxy, but as yourself with the rights and permissions that apply to your own user profile.

If you leave the Requests menu, the message that indicates you are acting as the selected user is replaced with a message indicating that the proxy session has been paused.

Clicking on the Session Paused message returns you to the SAP Concur Home page and resumes the proxy session.

Until then, you stop acting as a proxy for the selected user, whenever you return to the SAP Concur Home page or to the Requests menu, you are once again acting as a proxy for the selected Purchase Request User.
