Workflow for the Discovery RFx Publication to External Marketplace API

  1. A 3rd-party site administrator writes an adapter to post public RFx events to a website using the Discovery RFx publish to external marketplace API.

  2. An SAP Ariba Sourcing buyer user creates an RFx event in a system configured to allow public RFx postings, and chooses a 3rd-party portal where it will be posted.

  3. The 3rd-party site displays the RFx event posting.

  4. Suppliers see the public RFx event posting on the 3rd-party site, and follow a link to the event discovery page.

  5. Suppliers respond to the RFx event. Depending on the use case, response can take place either within SAP Ariba Sourcing or using a 3rd-party sourcing system.

  6. Optionally the partner buyer can check the status of the new event.
