Partner Access Sequence This function is used to define the business partners for whom contract assignments can be created during contract determination.
The system performs this function automatically during contract assignment creation.

You have defined the partner access sequences in Customizing that are used by the system to determine contract for business partners that perform an order role. Alternately, you have copied the partner access sequences supplied in the reference clients.

Once you have defined or copied the partner access sequences, you have assigned a partner access sequence to each sales area.
A partner access sequence consists of an access and the admissible contract sales areas. You can enter the following data to define a partner access sequence:

Accesses (obligatory) |
You want to define which business partners, orders and contracts must be assigned in which roles to allow contract assignments to be created during contract determination. |
Sequential number that defines the sequence of access. Role that a business partner can perform in the order, such as
Role that a business partner can perform in the contract, such as
Indicator that describes the exclusivity of the partner access sequence. Indicator that combines accesses that have the same value in this field in a cumulation group. This field is only significant if you use accesses with Y or Z exclusivity. |
Allowed contract sales areas (optional) |
You want to define the sales areas in which contracts can be created to allow contract assignments to be created during contract determination. |
Key that describes sales areas in which contracts can be created. If you do not specify a contract sales area, all contract sales areas are admissible. |
During contract determination, the system determines the admissible partner access sequence. When the partner access sequence is performed, accesses are performed in the sequence of their numbering.
When performing an access, the system determines contracts that fulfill the following requirements:
A business partner is assigned to an order at header, item or billing dataset level in the
R1
role. This business partner is also assigned to a contract in the
R2
role
.
The
R1
business partner roles describe order roles.
R2
business partner roles describe contract roles.

An access in which the
Advertiser
is defined in
R1
and the
contract holder
is defined in
R2
, determines all contracts in which the advertiser is the contract holder.
An access in which the
Advertiser
is defined in
R1
and the
Beneficiary
is defined in
R2
, determines all contracts in which the advertiser is a beneficiary.
The
TO
(group subsidiary) contract role is an exception. An access in which this role is specified determines all group contracts with contract holders that are found at a higher level than the order partner in the contract-relevant business partner hierarchy.
Business partner roles that you can specify in a partner access sequence are business partner roles that you have defined in the business partner master data in Customizing:

The contract has been created in a sales area that has been defined as admissible in the partner access sequence. If no admissible sales areas have been defined in the partner access sequence, all sales areas in which contracts can be created are admissible.
Once an access has been performed, the system checks the exclusivity indicator. The exclusivity indicator defines whether the next access is still to be performed once the previous access has been performed.

A billing dataset can be assigned to a contract if the advertiser is a contract holder or beneficiary. The second access is only performed if no contract could be assigned in the first access. This means that a search by beneficiaries is only performed if the advertiser is not a contract holder. |

A billing dataset can be assigned to a contract if the advertiser is a contract holder, beneficiary or group subsidiary. The second and third access is only performed if no contract could be assigned in the first or second access. This means that a search by group subsidiaries is only performed if the advertiser is not a contract holder or beneficiary. |

A billing dataset can be assigned to a contract if the advertiser is a contract holder, beneficiary or group subsidiary. The second access is only performed if no contract could be assigned in the first access. This means that a search by beneficiaries is only performed if the advertiser is not a contract holder. The third access is only performed if no contract could be assigned in the first two accesses and no contract could be found in the cumulation group for the third access. This means that a search by group subsidiaries is only performed if the advertiser is not a contract holder. It is of no significance whether the advertiser is a beneficiary. The second access has Z exclusivity. If an access has Y or Z exclusivity, the next access is only performed if no contract was found in its cumulation group. If the second access has exclusivity X, searches by group subsidiaries are also performed if the advertiser is a contract holder but none of these contracts could be assigned meaning that the advertiser does not have a suitable contract. |

You can also define your own business partner role combinations according to the requirements of your media company. Note: Definition of role combinations is restricted to 10 roles.
