Approving Requirements and Creating Related Tasks
When a requirement has been completed and approved, you can use it to generate user stories and tasks for development and testing.
Approving Requirements Manually
Manual Approval
Requirements can be approved by any team member if the role Requirement Approver wasn't assigned to any project member. The approval is logged in the history.
To continue working on the requirement, you have to set the approval state to Approved or Rejected. The Approved and the Rejected state can't be reversed. You can cancel the workflow by resetting the approval state to (Not Assigned).

When you use the requirement statuses Successfully Tested, Confirmed, or In Approval, and the approval states No Approval Required or Rejected, the requirement description is locked and can't be modified any longer.
Approval by Requirement Approver
Users with the Requirement Approver role receive a notification whenever a requirement is set to Ready for Approval. They can click the notification to navigate directly to the requirement. To receive notifications, they have to be enabled in the notification settings for SAP Cloud ALM.
External Workflow Approval
If the requirements in your project have been subscribed to an external workflow, they cannot be set to Approved and Rejected manually. The status change is then handled by the external API management.
Creating Items from Requirements
After reviewing the requirement specifications, you can, for example, create a project task with to define who takes care of the realization, and when. You can also create a user story or a feature. For more information, see Tasks.
Finish the project task definition and set the status to Done. Then, navigate back to your requirement, for example, to approve it.
