Follow-Up Activities

Follow-up activities in SAP Cloud ALM, include issues and actions management and task planning. These activities help you structure project execution and monitor progress and status. You can efficiently manage and resolve issues while maintaining project stability through documentation and testing.

Follow-up activities in SAP Cloud ALM for AI assistance for innovation adoption include two main functions:
  • Issues and actions management

  • Tasks

Issues and Actions Management

Go to issues and actions management in SAP Cloud ALM. The overview page shows a status summary by category. The tabs are:

  • Issues: List of detected issues linked to capabilities in the SESSION column

  • Standalone Actions: Independent actions not linked to issues

When you select an issue, you can see the following:

  • Header: Status, date, and title

  • General Info: Priority, category, assignee, and business impact

  • Recommended Actions: Steps to resolve the issue

  • Attachments: Related documents

You convert issues into tasks by completing the following steps:

  1. Choose the issue you want to work on.

  2. Choose Create Follow-Up Task.

  3. Enter a project, a project phase and choose a type.

  4. Choose create.

Tasks and Templates

Use task templates for your tasks. To download a task template from Issues and Actions Management, complete the following steps:

  1. Choose the issue you want to work on.

  2. Under Recommended Actions, choose the action you want to work on.

  3. To download the template, choose the link to the task template.

To upload your template into your task, complete the following steps:
  1. Go to SAP Cloud ALMfor Implementation > Projects and Setup > Tasks.

  2. Choose sap-icon://upload.

    The upload dialog opens.

  3. Choose Browse and choose the task template you downloaded.

  4. Choose Upload.

    A dialog opens.

  5. To create your task, choose Create.

The task you created is based on templates for your Recommended Actions and helps you with the following things:

  • Manage complex projects with interrelated activities, dependencies, and sequencing

  • Adapt to changing project requirements

  • Get clear, actionable task guidance

  • Track status and progress with full transparency

  • Supporting documentation, testing, and coordinated deployments to maintain project stability

  • Connect requirements, user stories, and deliverables
