Configuration

Display and change the configuration settings for the Real User Monitoring app. To change these settings, you need the role Real User Analyst Administrator.

To open the configuration panel, choose (Configuration).

Managed Components

In the section Managed Components, the managed SAP solutions available for Real User Monitoring, including their monitoring statuses, are displayed.

For deactivated components, no requests are measured in Real User Monitoring. If supported by the managed component, also the collection of metrics on the managed SAP solution itself is deactivated.

For each managed component, the list displays the time at which the configuration status was last changed and the user who performed it. If for this user Unknown is displayed, the user may be deactivated, or the status change was triggered by the managed component itself.

Application Settings

In the section Application Settings you can display the memory consumption for Real User Monitoring data and change the retention duration of Real User Monitoring values for both single executions and hourly aggregates:

  • Data Volume

To display the memory consumption for a single monitored cloud service or on-premise system, choose (Tabular Display per Service).

This table also shows the percentage distribution of memory consumption and the number of records for each object within Real User Monitoring.

  • Aggregation

Here you can define the retention time for Single Executions and Aggregated Executions in Real User Monitoring.

Real User Monitoring offers drilldown possibilities from the global use of selected request types to single executions and execution details. However, because this data requires a lot of memory, the values of single executions are aggregated after a retention time of one week by default and a maximum of two weeks. After this time, all data is available at an hourly resolution. The retention time for hourly aggregates is four weeks by default and a maximum of one year (370 days). After this time, the data is deleted.

After changing the retention time for hourly aggregates, choose Save. The retention time applies to all monitored components.
