Category of an entry document.

Use

Depending on the waste , where it is disposed of, and the associated regulations and laws, various disposal processing variants are required. Each entry document therefore belongs to an entry document category. You can use the entry document categories to model the required disposal processing variants in the system. The entry document category controls data entry and further processing of the data. For more information about the settings controlled by the entry document category, see Specify Document Categories in Customizing for Waste Management .

Example Example

In an enterprise in which a central accumulation point for waste is used, you could, for example, use different entry document categories for the following cases:

  • Disposal processing via the accumulation point

  • Disposal processing without the accumulation point

Furthermore, if the disposal is to be processed for various plants , you can use a separate entry document category for each plant in order to use, for example, different number ranges and authorizations.
